Canada announced that it has suspended all embassy and consular operations in Syria. All diplomats and staff has left the country. Canadians who remain in Syria can use the Canadian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon for consular assistance. If any emergency consular help is required inside Syria, it must be addressed to the Hungarian Embassy in Damascus. All visa applicants must apply at Canadian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon or Amman, Jordan. Syrian nationals outside of Syria can submit their applications to any other Canadian visa office.
